It is very important at this time that we all pray and keep a positive mind set. Now is the time that we spend as much time together and pray for Sean that he continue to fight this horrible disease with all his might!!! He has been so amazing and has beaten the odds so far. I am confident that he will beat them again. I'm asking for prayers, lots of them!!! We need them so desperately now.. Love to all our family and friends Carol 01/20/2009Dear family and friends, We are very happy to announce Sean's MRI yesterday showed very little growth of the cancer. Sean's cancer has reacted well to the Temador (Chemo). Since the Temador was so new, the doctors were not sure how his cancer would react to it. 95% of all patients with this type of cancer do not survive past 12 months. Sean has and will surpass 15 months!!!!!!!! Our next MRI is in April. We are going to enjoy this good news and keep that faith that our next MRI in April will show the same good results. Again, Sean and I are so thankful to all of our family and friends that have supported us over this past year. All those that have sent emails of support and love, via the guestbook, we would have replied, but we can't see an email address to reply to. We could not have survived this past year without all of your support and love. We are so thankful and love you all. Carol 12/04/2008Hello family and friends, Happy Holidays to you all.... Just wanted to give you a quick update on Sean. We just got an MRI last week and the cancer has not changed much at all since September. Sean has gotten stronger from the break from Chemo and is doing well. Hi foot has healed completely!! Yeah!! We will not continue Chemo at this time as per the advise from his doctors. The nurses continue to visit several times a week to check on him. Much love to all and Happy Holidays!!! The Curry Family 10/30/2008Dear Friend and Family, Just wanted to touch base with you all. Sean stopped chemo about two months ago to give his body a rest. The chemo took it's toll on him and he needed some time to get stronger. I am happy to say, he is doing well and has gotten stronger. He twisted his foot a few weeks ago and did break his foot, however, he only needs to be in an air cast and he is healing just fine. He will go to see his neurologist in January for his next MRI. Keep your prayers going and fingers crossed that we will see good results. Much love to you all!!!! The Curry Family. 07/30/2008Dear friends and family, Sean has decided not to take a break from Chemo. He just started his next session on July 28th. He is doing well, just a bit tired and sore. Much love to all!!! 07/15/2008Dear Friends and Family, Sean went for an MRI on the 8th. We are happy to announce that there has only been minimal growth of his tumors. Although the Chemo has started to take its toll on Sean physically, the Chemo has kept the tumors from growing as fast as we thought they would. He will probably take a short break from the chemo to bring up his blood counts then start again in about a month. He has been such a trooper and is fighting this with all his might. We would like to extend our deepest thanks to all of our friends and family that have been so supportive over these past several months. We could not have gotten by without you. Much love to all Carol 05/05/2008Hello to all our friends and family... Sean just completed his 4th session of Chemo since the break from his initial radiation and Chemo treatments back in December. He has two more session to go until he will receive his next MRI. At that point, we will determine how well the Chemo is working. He it tolerating the Temador (Chemo) very well. Other than some muscle soreness and fatigue, things are going smoothly. We are looking forward to visiting the beach alot this summer and spending time with our families and friends. Much love to all Sean and Carol 02/26/2008Dear friends and family, Sean and I visited the University of Penn and have some hopefull treatment options. Sean completed his first 5 days of double doses of Chemo (Temador) and was very strong throughout that week. As recommended by UP/Dr. Myrna Rosenfeld, we will get an MRI a week before he starts his next 5 day dose of Chemo. Date around Mid March. We will then take that MRI and his pre and post surgical Cd's to Dr. Rosenfeld and she will give us her recommendation of possibly using the Gamma Knife on the new Cancer growth. We will only need to decide on this option if the Chemo did not maintain his current condition. Meaning, if the cancer spread and the tumor grew, we will be advised by the doctors at UP as to whether the Gamma Knife will help. If the cancer is maintained and his blood work stays above par, we will just continue the Temador as perscribed. Sean seems to being doing very well with the Temadar so we are optamistic. Much love to all of our friends and family. Again, Thank you all for your love and support!!!! 02/12/2008Hello to all our dear friends and family. Sean had his most recent MRI and it showed that the radiation and Chemo did maintain the tumor in the right frontal lobe but unfortunately, he now has a tumor growth in the back of the Thalemus. He will start double doses of Chemo on Wednesday February 13th for 5 days. As long as his blood work continues to be above par and he continues his incredible strength, he will continue Chemo once a month for 5 days. We have also made arrangements to see another specialist at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Myrna Rosenbaum. She is suppose to be the "best of the best". We will see her on February 18th. I will send out an update soon after the visit. I am so proud of Sean. He continues to have a positive outlook and continues to live life to the fullest. Again, we appreciate all your prayers and keeping us in your thoughts. Much Love The Curry Family 01/29/2008Dear Friends and Family, Our trip to Arizona (Tucson and Sedona) was amazing. We spend the quality of a lifetime together and loved every minute of it. The weather was perfect. We gazed at the beautiful Vortexes of Sedona and hiked beautiful trails and visited wonderful museums. One of our favorite experiences was sitting on the deck of a wonderful resturaunt overlooking "Snoopy" rock and a Bald Eagle just glided above us for several minutes and aloud us to enjoy it's beauty. Another was a visit to the "Chapel of the Holy Cross". This place was very special to me. In that beautiful and sacred house I got to ask for my miracle. The kids had a great time horse a back riding and Sean and I couldn't wait for the evening sunsets so we could have our evening cocktail and enjoy the beauty. Again, we can't thank all of our friends and family for all their support and love. Our friends Joe and Dan from Meenan Oil company. You gave us an amazing gift and we can't thank you enough. You and your families mean the world to us. Please know that you are in our thought every day. Our friends and family that made the trip to Arizona possible, "We love you and thank you". Our memories will last a "LIFE TIME". Our next trip to the Neurologist will be Feb 4th with all our MRI results. We will be in touch to let you know what our next step will be. Much Love The Curry Family 01/03/2008Dear Friends and family, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to everyone. Sean and I again would like to extend our thanks to all of you that made this a very nice Holiday Season for us. Everyone that organized and ran the benefit to all those wonderful donations to all that attended the benefit, we "THANK YOU" from the bottom of hearts. Sean's last day of radiation and Chemo will be January 8, 2008. He has been remarkable strong through this whole process and the doctors are pleased with his blood work and continue to say that he is a very strong individual. He will be taking a months break from the Chemo. There will be no more radiation. February 7th or 8th, we will get an MRI to give us an updated prognossis of the tumor. Depending on that prognossis will determine the continued treatment plan. We will be taking a family vacation to Tuscon Arizona very soon. We will also be visiting Sedona Arizona. We are looking forward to our time away from the hospital and in beautiful surroundings. We love you all and again, "Thank You" to all of you!!!!! 12/12/2007Sean is half way through radiation and started Chemo up again last week. We love you All Sean and Carol 11/28/2007Until advised otherwise, Chemo has been stopped. Sean has come down with pneumonia and Bronchitis and must stop the Chemo since the Chemo weekens his defence system. We will be meeting with the oncologist tomorrow morning after his radiation treatment for his blood work results. He is on a strong antibiotic to fight this. If there is no progression within 5 days he will be hospitalized and put on IV antibiotics. Keep your fingers crossed and prayers going in hopes that he will recover and will be able to continue the Chemo soon. Much Love Carol 11/27/2007Dear Friends and Family, We are in our second day of Chemo and Radiation treatments and so far so good. Not much side effects, just very tired. Unfortunately, Sean has come down with Bronchitis and and a bit of walking pneumonia. We have just added to our small pharmacy another antibiotic. Spirits are high and Sean still has his great sense of humor over it all!!!! Much Love 11/24/2007Dear Friends and Family, Chemo and Radiation treatments will begin on Monday Nov 26th. Seven weeks of chemo and radiation. Chemo, 7 days a week and radiation 5 days a week. We are very positive and hope for minimal side effects. We just don't know what to say to all of you. The out pouring of love and support has been overwhelming. We love you all and greatly appreciate your support and love. Your email messages have touched our hearts so deeply. From the deepest of our souls, we thank you and love you all. Much Love Sean and Carol 11/13/2007Our Dear Friends and Family, We will begin Chemo Therapy and Radiation treatment on Monday November 19th. The treatment will be for 6 weeks, Radiation 5 days a week and Chemo 7 Days a week. Temador is the Chemo that Sean will be taking in pill form. Surgery is no longer an option since the cancer has engulfed the Thalamus measuring 4.3 x 2.8 cm and continues to grow. Sean's health will be monitored closely by his doctors over the next 6 weeks. Upon completion of the treatment, another MRI will be done to see if the radiation and Chemo have helped. If there has been any progress at all, he will rest for a month and then begin treatments of Chemo only on a stronger level along with continued MRI'S. If there isn't any progress, treatment will stop all together. We thank you all for your prayers and support. We are SO BLESSED to have such wonderful friends and family. 11/11/2007Sean and I had a chance to sit and read the wonderful heartfelt emails that everyone has sent to us. We cannot express enough our appreciation and thanks to all of you. Knowing the outpouring of love and support helps our family deal with this unfortunate challange that has been placed upon us. We are meeting with the doctors on Monday November 12, 2007 to discuss our next move. There will be an update on the website as soon as we decide what that will be. Much love to our family and friends, we could not get through this without you. Love Sean and Carol
